Lucha, the new album from Y La Bamba, is out now. Lucha is a bold and intrepid album that synthesizes disparate thematic and musical threads. Folk and indie pop melodies work within a framework of Afro-Cuban and rock percussion. The atmosphere is meticulously constructed and all of the music is grounded in Luz Elena Mendoza Ramo's inimitable vocal work. Check out Hues (feat. Devendra Banhart) below and then grab a copy for yourself.
